STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Provide a wide variety of support to the primary care and pediatric providers (provider staff); collaborate with team members to ensure optimal patient care and member satisfaction. Assist in preparing charts prior to appointments. As directed, escort patients to examination rooms; obtain patient data (to include height; weight; vital signs including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration, etc.); prepare patients for examinations; assist provider staff with examinations procedures and patient education.
EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED required. Completion of
course for Medical Assistant, courses in basic computing skills, word processing, and typing
helpful.
EXPERIENCE: Prefer six months patient check-in/check-out, electronic
chart filing, appointment setting, phlebotomy, or clinical experience in a medical office. Also, completion of courses in Medical
Terminology, Business, Math, English, Typing, and Computer Classes
highly desirable. Will consider other combinations of work
experience and settings.
JOB RELATIONSHIPS: Supervises no other personnel. Reports directly
to Office Manager. This position is a Medical Assistant position that provides the office with the
flexibility of being able to be assign to one a
'direct care' functions. Applicant must be able to
work in a mutually supportive team environment.
