Description:

We are seeking a dependable, organized, and service oriented Administrative Assistant to provide day to day administrative support to a busy legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong office and computer skills who is interested in learning the legal environment. Legal experience is preferred but not required.

The ideal candidate is comfortable using Microsoft Office, can learn new software systems quickly, and is able to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage calendars and coordinate meetings and appointments.
  • Prepare and format basic correspondence, letters, and document shells.
  • Assist with creating and formatting briefs and other documents.
  • File and organize documents in iManage and other electronic systems.
  • Navigate various search and document management systems, such as Relativity and Westlaw, as needed.
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support to attorneys and the team.
  • Maintain organized electronic files and assist with routine office tasks.
  • Communicate professionally with attorneys, staff, clients, and other contacts.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous administrative, secretarial, or office experience preferred.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn new software and technology quickly.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable, responsive, and willing to learn.
  • Legal experience is not required; training will be provided on firm-specific systems, processes, and legal terminology.

This position is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in general office administration who is dependable, organized, comfortable with technology, and interested in developing their skills in a legal environment.
