Optum NM is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to join our team. This position is remote in Albuquerque, NM, with flexibility to work remotely or within commutable distance to the office at 303 Roma Avenue NW, 5th floor, Albuquerque, NM 87102. As a member of the Optum Care Delivery team, you'll be an integral part of our vision to make healthcare better for everyone.
The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for scheduling and coordinating appointments, maximizing clinician schedules, verifying insurance and providing a positive patient experience. The coordinator answers incoming calls within appropriate timelines and meets productivity and quality standards set by the organization. The coordinator is responsible for reviewing provider schedules daily to ensure maximum capacity met. This position is required to effectively communicate with clinical teams, nurses, and clinicians to relay information to the appropriate clinic as needed. Adheres to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety. Participation in Compliance and other important training is a condition of employment.
This position is full time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work an 8-hour shift schedule during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 4:30pm MST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.
We offer 4-6 weeks of paid training. The hours during training will be 8:00 am to 5:00 pm PST, Monday - Friday. Training will be conducted onsite and will go remote after.
