Description:

Key Qualifications:

  • Current Georgia educator certification specific to teaching students with visual impairments (TVI)
  • Experience in schools, preferably working with a range of age groups or open to placements based on experience and preference
  • Strong documentation habits-daily service logs are required
  • Clear communication, flexibility, and a collaborative approach with school teams
  • Willingness to fully support students onsite; remote candidates will not be considered
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert direct instruction and interventions for visually impaired students in a K-12 setting, using individualized techniques
  • Develop and implement instructional materials based on students' unique needs and IEP goals
  • Maintain accurate daily service documentation and contribute thoughtfully to IEP meetings
  • Engage families, staff, and other service providers to maximize student outcomes
  • Adapt to evolving caseload assignments; placements are matched after discussion with leadership to ensure the best fit for both educator and students
