As a proud member of the Berkshire Hathaway family, we serve customers in more than 80 countries and are committed to delivering powerful experiences for employees and customers alike.CompensationThe base hourly rate is $16.64.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesCheck out and report anything found on assigned forklift(s) at the beginning of the shift (checklist must be completed at the start of every shift)Load any order accurately and in a timely mannerInspect trailer for damage (holes in floor, ceiling, sides) and report any damage to the supervisor on dutyClean up work area after order completion (pickup pallets, plastic, broken wood, etc.)Perform tasks assigned by Shift Leader(s)Work safely and wear all required PPEOther duties as assignedMaintain off‑loading of products from production lineInspect products for quality, proper labeling and proper package countPhysical RequirementsMust be able to push or pull heavy carts, objects, etc.Must be able to work in cramped areas and positions at timesMust be able to stand for long periods of timeMust be able to bend at the waist and kneesMust be able to twist at the waistMust be able to raise arms above head and perform overhead workMust be able to climbMust be able to drive a forklift or heavy equipment for extended periods of timeMany movements may be repetitive depending on circumstancesWork conditions are indoor/outdoor; areas may be dusty and temperature can vary significantlySupervisory ResponsibilitiesThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.Education and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED; or one to five years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Work EnvironmentThis position is in an industrial, manufacturing environment around heavy machinery, moving mechanical parts, industrial ovens and mobile equipment. The environment is not climate‑controlled; employees must be able to work in extremely hot, humid, cold or dusty conditions. Walking surfaces can be wet, dusty and uneven. Noise, vibration, fumes and airborne particles may be present.
