SummaryAbout the Position: This position is with Defense Health Agency, Dental Clinic, in Fort Benning, Georgia. Work is performed in an office environment from 0730-1630 Monday through Friday. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.ResponsibilitiesAssist dentist with simple and complex procedures such as tooth removal, surgical removal of impacted teeth, or excisional biopsies.Set up instruments, equipment, and materials such as assembling syringes and IVs for anesthesia, mixing materials for impressions and restorations.Participate in stand‑up dentistry or four‑handed sit‑down dentistry procedures.Adhere to aseptic precautions throughout treatment or procedures.Monitor patient throughout treatment or procedures for adverse reactions.Educate patient on oral hygiene or post‑treatment care.Perform dental radiographic work.Education and QualificationsForeign education must be evaluated by a private organization that specializes in foreign education equivalency, or full credit must be granted by an accredited U.S. institution.Applicants must hold a current, active, unrestricted dental license or equivalent certification. Proof of a valid license is required.Other RequirementsU.S. citizenship required; proof of citizenship must be provided.Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre‑Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.One‑year probationary period during which performance and conduct will be evaluated.Compensation and BenefitsSalary includes applicable locality pay or local market supplement.
