Responsibilities

• Install accessories according to manufacturer's instructions
• Overall understanding of PIO installations and ability to troubleshoot problems
• Correct any deficiencies noted by Quality Control before the vehicle is returned to staging area
• Complete a defect tag if parts are defective and submit to Supervisor, for which part my be considered a warranty claim
• Maintain a clean and hazard free work environment. Ensure all policies and procedures are followed regarding safety
• When required, perform installations outside
• Ensure proper documentation is completed on each install according to customer specifications and quality standards
• Perform periodic audits to ensure installations are effectively performed
• Assist fellow team members to make sure quality is maintained, and installations are completed in a timely manner
• Ability to work effectively in group/team settings: make progress determinations as needed, recommend performance determinations
• Ability to conduct meetings and other required sessions for communication of quality, production, and safety requirements
• Ability to use iVeles to provide PIO pull list
• Ability to complete shift recap report
• Other duties as assigned

• Ability to read and write required

• Must have demonstrated mechanical abilities required
• Have general knowledge of automobile components required
• Ability to operate basic hand tools, drills, wrenches, etc required
• Able to communicate precise instructions required
• Ability to operate handheld scanners / PDA required
• Troubleshoot automotive issues required

Education & Experience

• HS diploma/G.E.D required
• 1 year of experience in automotive/repair required
• 3 years of experience in automotive/repair preferred
• Computer literate training required
• Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook training preferred
• ASE certificate or license preferred

This position works in a plant manufacturing/warehouse setting.
