DescriptionDIXIE is looking for a plumbing apprentice to join our team in Montgomery, Alabama.Who You Are:You are excited about making a difference in people's lives every day.You have great communication and strong customer service skills.You work well with a team.You have excellent work ethic and leadership skills.What You Will Be Responsible For:Assist a journeyman plumber in maintenance, diagnosis, and repair in a residential setting, including the installation of plumbing systems by assembling, positioning, and sealing valves, pipe fittings, and pipes.Help a plumber in the repair and maintain plumbing systems by replacing washers, mending burst pipes; opening clogged drains.Comply with federal, state, and local building and plumbing codes by enforcing adherence to requirements.Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.Support a plumber with troubleshooting plumbing issues using appropriate devices.Using critical thinking and problem‑solving skills during day‑to‑day operations.Assisting in the completing of assigned work orders in a timely manner.Building and maintaining relationships with customers and team members.Working with team members on the training of apprentices.Requirements:At least 1 year of plumbing experience is preferred.Service Titan experience preferred.Excellent customer service skills required.You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds; be able to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices); carry ladders; work from heights, work in small spaces.Desire to learn the knowledge and skills for installation, maintenance, repair of plumbing systems in a residential setting.Ability to pass a drug test, driving record and background check, and physical fitness test.Authorized to work in the United States.Passion for helping others.
