As a Hospital Based Patient Advocate, you play a vital role in guiding uninsured hospital patients through the complex landscape of medical and disability assistance. This onsite, hospital-based role places you at the heart of patient financial advocacymeeting individuals face-to-face, right in their hospital rooms, to guide them through the process of identifying eligibility and applying for financial assistance. Your presence and empathy make a real difference during some of life's most vulnerable moments.
The purpose of this position is to connect uninsured hospital patients to programs that will cover their medical expenses. As a Patient Advocate, you will play a critical role in assisting uninsured hospital patients by evaluating their eligibility for various federal, state, and county medical or disability assistance programs through bed-side visits and in-person interactions. Your primary objective will be to guide patients face-to-face through the application process, ensuring thorough completion and follow-up.
