What Happens in Shipping and Receiving Anyway?
  • Interact with donors to accept and process donations at trailer sites in an outdoor setting; provide outstanding service to all donors
  • Receive newly donated items from our Donations team
  • Help us be green and sustainable, sort and ship recyclable items
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Work in the heat, the cold and in wet weather conditions
  • Unload trailers in a safe and efficient manner

Position Title: Dock Team Member
Reports To: Dock Supervisor
Department: Operations
FLSA Status: Nonexempt

Shifts Available (Friday-Sunday):
  • 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • 12:30 PM - 9:00 PM
  • 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM
Position Overview:
America's Thrift Stores is hiring Dock Team Members to support our fast-paced warehouse and donation operations. This role is ideal for team-oriented individuals with a strong work ethic who enjoy hands-on work, both indoors and outdoors, while providing great service to donors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Weigh, count, and track incoming/outgoing materials
  • Move items efficiently to designated areas
  • Document shipments and report discrepancies
  • Operate equipment safely using PPE
  • Assist donors at the donation center as needed
  • Support additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
  • 18+ with high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a physical environment
  • Strong organization, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Valid driver's license with clean record
  • Ability to pass background check, MVR, and drug screen
Work Environment:
  • Indoor/outdoor work in varying conditions
  • Requires standing, lifting, bending, and walking throughout shifts
