IT Technician

The IT Technician is responsible for, but not limited to:

• Day to day maintenance, documentation, troubleshooting, and monitoring of information systems.
• Providing Help Desk support to all end users.
• Answering, evaluating, and prioritizing requests for assistance from users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies.
• Logging and tracking requests using help desk software, maintains history records, and related problem documentation.
• Handling problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution and follow-up, referring more complex problems to Director of Information Technology.
• Installing, documenting, inventorying, maintaining, and troubleshooting all information technology assets including but not limited to:
• Hardware: personal computers, servers, printers, personal digital assistants, etc.
• Application software products.
• Server and personal computer operating system software.
• Data backup and redundancy.
• Maintaining current knowledge and skills through research and self-paced CBT's.
• Participating in maintaining an organized, clean, and safe work environment.
• Abiding by the strict confidentiality policy of Callaway Gardens.
• Self-discipline the ability to prioritize tasks, and a detail-oriented working style.
• Ability to learn from experience and informal/formal instruction.

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to two years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience in hotel or related field helpful.

Must have a valid driver's license from appropriate state. (may need if they drive)
