As a Dental Office Manager within the Columbus Health Department at the Georgia Department of Public Health, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.

This position will be based in Columbus, GA and will supervise dental services to ensure quality patient care, coordination of training, and maintenance of administrative tasks within the dental clinic. This is Not a Remote position. You will support the Department by utilizing your expertise to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Supervise customer service representatives, dental assistants/technicians, hygienists, and other support staff.
  • Manage the operational budget of the dental office.
  • Schedule staff work schedules.
  • Maintain records related to patient care and clinical procedures.
  • Work closely with other dental professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and effective clinic operations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in health care services or related field from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of professional managerial or supervisory experience in health care services. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Two (2) years experience working in a Dental office setting preferred. Experience with dental practice management software, billing, scheduling, and Microsoft Office. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
