International Education Coordinator (Local Coordinator)About the PositionJoin Academic Year in America (AYA), a leader in cultural exchange, as an International Education Coordinator! This part‑time, flexible independent contractor role offers the opportunity to build intercultural connections and make a lasting impact on students and host families within your community.Note: This position is a 1099 contract, stipend‑based role; it is not salaried. Pay is based on task completion and is not paid hourly. Local Coordinators can receive financial compensation in the form of placement & supervision fees, bonuses, and travel incentives.What You'll DoRecruitment and Engagement: Network and promote the AYA program through community outreach efforts.Build relationships with local schools to facilitate student enrollment.Recruit and screen suitable host families that meet the program requirements.Conduct monthly check‑ins with students and host families to ensure safety and satisfaction.Provide logistical, emotional, and social support to students, host families, and schools.Implement conflict resolution and mediation strategies when needed.Offer temporary housing or secure emergency accommodations with another vetted host family when necessary.Fulfill reporting requirements and maintain accurate documentation.What We're Looking ForAbility to build strong community relationships and think creatively to overcome challenges.Enjoy working with and supporting both adults and teenagers.Experience in marketing, education, social work, international relations, or related fields is a plus.Comfortable using social media and online tools for promotion and reporting.Ability to temporarily host a student in your home or identify a temporary host family in an emergency.Ability to devote 10‑15 hours per week; evenings and weekends are required as needed.Must be 25 years or older with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.What We OfferPay: Earn up to $1,200 stipend for every student you place and supervise.Travel: Opportunity to earn the chance to travel internationally on our annual incentive trip.Flexibility: Work from home and in your own community, creating a schedule that fits your needs.Training: Receive AYA training, professional development opportunities, and collaborate with the National Office staff in Stamford, CT.Life‑Changing Experiences: Create magical memories with people from all over the world.Job DetailsJob Types: Part‑timeBenefits: Flexible schedule; Referral program; Travel opportunitiesSupplemental pay types: Commission payWork Location: Remote (must reside in the United States)Additional RequirementsJob requires a background check.Must have a valid driver's license.Must be 25 years of age or older.#J-18808-Ljbffr
