The Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Disks will provide operational engineering support for sonic machining and sonic inspection processes.Program and troubleshoot various machining operations such as heat treat prep, sonic machining on large and small lathes, and semi-finish machiningDevelop and improve processes which support the growth curve and cost reduction targets through cost of poor quality and nonconformance reductionsLeverage manufacturing innovations to improve cost, delivery, and quality of aerospace disk forgings; assist with problem solving during manufacturing related investigationProgress Manufacturing Readiness Level initiatives on select part numbersCreate First Article Inspection packages for disk partsProvide finished part support to Pratt & Whitney Canada, MTU, and other customersBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Material Science, or other closely related technical or physical science discipline combined with 5 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management, quality or similar environment OR a Master's degree and 3 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management, quality or similar environmentExperience with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)Experience managing multiple competing priorities simultaneously with ability to obtain, organize and analyze quality dataUnderstanding of Quality Procedures, Quality Management Systems and experience using continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma and LEANBachelor's degree in Engineering (mechanical or manufacturing
