Job Description
CDM Smith is seeking an experienced Senior Recruiter to join our Corporate HR Team! This role owns and drives the full cycle recruitment of Electrical Engineers and related technical talent, partnering closely with engineering leadership to deliver critical hires that power the firm's high impact projects. You will be a trusted talent advisor to hiring managers, deeply understanding electrical engineering disciplines and project demands while building and maintaining a robust pipeline of highly specialized technical candidates in a competitive market.
What You'll Do
Lead end‑to‑end recruiting for Electrical Engineering roles, including power systems, MEP, controls, instrumentation, and other specialized engineering disciplines.
Proactively source, engage, and cultivate a diverse pipeline of experienced Electrical Engineers using advanced sourcing strategies, professional networks, referrals, and modern recruiting technology.
Serve as a strategic partner to hiring managers translating technical requirements into compelling talent strategies and advising on market conditions, candidate availability, and competitive positioning.
Conduct high‑quality technical prescreens, confidently evaluating candidate experience, credentials, and alignment with engineering and business needs.
Manage candidate experience with precision and urgency preparing candidates for interviews, ensuring timely feedback, and maintaining clear, consistent communication throughout the process.
Coordinate interviews, drive feedback loops, and keep searches moving forward with speed and accountability.
Extend and negotiate offers in alignment with firm compensation guidelines, ensuring competitive and equitable outcomes.
Maintain impeccable documentation and compliance across all recruiting activities using the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
Analyze recruiting metrics and reports, providing hiring managers and leadership with visibility into pipeline health, time to fill, and hiring progress.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree.
4 years of related experience (or equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree).
Domestic and/or international travel may be required; the frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
Skills and Abilities
Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, applicant tracking systems and technology for sourcing candidates.
Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills and the ability to work with all types of people at a variety of levels.
May be involved in mentoring or guiding more junior level recruiters or support staff.
Ability to work as a team player and to keep informed of developments in employment practices as well as the ability to maintain employment advertising program.
Ability to work with detail, manage multiple priorities, and work within deadlines.

Pay Range
Minimum: $90,230
Maximum: $148,886
Work Location Options
Fully Remote or Hybrid Work Options may be considered for the successful candidate.
