US Department of Defense - Fort Benning - Responsibilities: Troubleshoot problems identified on all systems and subassemblies of the equipment used on the ranges including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems on the Armor Moving Target Carrier (AMTC), other target lifters, etc.; Perform the full range of maintenance/repairs on target systems and subassemblies of equipment used on the ranges, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic systems, control panels, miniaturized electronic control circuitry, and simulators.; Use a variety of test equipment such as voltmeters, frequency meters, transfer impedance meters, ohmmeters, meggers, oscilloscopes, inductance and capacitance testers, to troubleshoot malfunctions circuit element on circuit boards.; Repair a variety of electrical/electronic equipment and modification, including inspection, disassembly, troubleshooting, overhaul, selecting the appropriate replacement parts, fabricating parts and assemblies, synchronization of systems, etc.; Use blueprints, schematics, repair manuals and other guides in troubleshooting and completing repairs and modifications.
