Independent Contractor Physician Assistant

Description:

We are seeking dedicated Physician Assistants to join our team as independent contractors, providing essential health services to our Military Service members. This role primarily involves weekend work, with occasional weekdays, focusing on health readiness services under the Reserve Health Readiness Program (RHRP).

You will support the health requirements of various military branches, including:

  • U.S. Army Reserve (USAR)
  • Army National Guard (ARNG)
  • U.S. Navy Reserve (USNR)
  • U.S. Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES)
  • U.S. Coast Guard Reserve (USCGR)
  • Air National Guard (ANG)
  • U.S. Air Force Reserve (USAFR)
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Physical Health Assessments of military personnel.
  • Review health histories, service member medical records, and medical questionnaires.
  • Interview military personnel to assess current and past medical issues.
  • Identify immediate concerns, including behavioral health aspects.
  • Document interview results for readiness classification in a proprietary medical records system.
Requirements:
  • Active PA license in your state.
  • CPR/BLS Certification.
  • Experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Occupational Health preferred.
  • Experience with mobile medical services preferred.
  • Familiarity with military systems, protocols, and terminology preferred.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments, managing large volumes of service members.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and travel to various locations, including remote military installations.
  • Weekend availability preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills are essential.
  • Diagnosing, treating, or prescribing medications is not required.
