Job Summary

This position will be for working as part of our front operations of the Coca-Cola Space Science Center and will work in position of running planetarium shows, selling tickets and merchandise, providing facility information to patrons, and giving tours of our NASA artifacts. We may ask you to attend our mobile programs if you have the availability on school days 7:45 am-1:30 pm, which involves moving heavy equipment from our mobile planetarium. Other shifts for front operations include hours between 9 am to 4 pm and we allow split shifts to be worked to accommodate your class schedule.

Responsibilities

* Able to lift and move heavy equipment;

* Customer Service for engaging in sales and greeting patrons;

* Running Planetarium shows in our theater;

* Public speaking skills for speaking to groups and giving knowledgeable science facts.

Required Qualifications

* High school Degree;

* Must be in enrolled at Columbus State University;

* Public speaking skills;

* Customer Service;

* Sales and retail experience.

Proposed Salary

This position begins at $8.50 an hour and once fully trained on procedures, $10 an hour. Pay increases are based on merit and time worked.
