Job Details

This position is responsible for supervising inmates for labor purposes. Supervises an assigned crew of inmates; and provides security for inmates and the general public. Supervises the cutting and cleaning of ditches. Supervises the repair of erosion problems by placing clay and filter fabric. Supervises the repair of cave-ins on storm drain systems. Supervises the repair of walls; lays and replaces pipes. Supervises the removal of trees from the storm drain system; supervises the grading of ditch lines. Supervises the placement of check dams and the placement of tri-locks. Supervises the landscaping of areas where pipes have been laid. Provides assistance to division work crews. Checks inmates for contraband; conducts regular inmate census. Drives inmate van. Performs other related duties as assigned.
