Integration & Preliminary Optimization
Location: Remote
Employment Type: 12 Month Contract with Potential to Extend
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced RF Optimization Engineer to support preintegration, integration validation, and preliminary optimization for new builds and mods in Verizon markets (Ericsson RAN). You'll apply and verify golden parameters, ensure site health in Apexcontrolled domains, perform bounded firsttier neighbor checks, and produce an auditready closeout package for acceptance. This role is milestonedriven and scopebounded to the impacted site plus firsttier adjacency.
Key Responsibilities
Integration Support
- Run POR scripts and confirm golden parameter application.
- Validate inscope features per change plan.
- Verify TMA/RET configuration (tilts, azimuth where available).
- Ensure sites are alarmfree within Apex control; log/escalate others.
Using TrueCall, AirWave, RTT (or equivalent):
- Review coverage plots and recommend tilt adjustments.
- Validate firsttier neighbor relationships and handover integrity.
- Confirm KPI reporting and monitor Day1 performance.
- Assess SINR distribution and identify traffic balance opportunities (sitebounded).
- Create full site closeout package:
- Golden parameter logs
- Feature validation
- Alarm before/after
- KPI trends (Day 0/Day 1/Posttuning)
- Tilt recommendations
- Handover audit
- Issues/assumptions log
- Participate in site or batch review sessions.
- Coordinate with Drive Test teams when applicable.
- Escalate integration issues/systemic alarms to Operations.
- Provide advisory input on router/NOS impacts on RF KPIs.
In Scope:
- Impacted site + firsttier adjacency
- Tilt/parameter tuning within time limits
- Features/alarms only if touched at the site
- CRAN hubs/multinode optimization
- Activation ownership
- Crane release decisions
- Neighboringsite remediation or multidomain alarms
- Deep cluster optimization beyond first tier
- Integration & Health: 0.5-1 day
- Preliminary Optimization: 1-3 days (capped unless extended)
- Closeout & Acceptance: 0.5 day
- TrueCall, AirWave, RTT (read/write)
- OSS/config systems + RET controllers
- POR baselines and acceptance KPI definitions
- Ability to read Drive Test outputs
- 5+ years RF optimization (Verizon/Ericsson strongly preferred)
- Strong LTE/NR KPI, tilt, HO tuning, neighbor planning experience
- Proficient in TrueCall/AirWave/RTT
- Ericsson ENM/AMOS familiarity
- Strong documentation skills
- Verizon optimization experience
- SLAbased delivery experience
- DT tool experience (DMAT, TEMS, Nemo, Actix, XCAL/XCAP, R&S, etc.)
- POR logs + golden params
- Feature validation checklist
- Alarm before/after + escalation records
