GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

This role involves preparing delicious meals that exceed our guests' expectations. Our culinary team is dedicated to maintaining high standards of food quality, sanitation, and safety.

THE UNIFORM

  • Wear a clean TP black hat facing forward; brim should not be bent.
  • Keep hair clean and neatly tucked under the TP hat.
  • Maintain a clean-shaven appearance; well-groomed beards and mustaches are allowed.
  • Ensure fingernails are trimmed and neat.
  • No jewelry is permitted on the ears, face, neck, or wrists.
  • Headphones or ear buds are not allowed while working.
  • Wear a clean, non-faded, wrinkle-free TP kitchen shirt tucked in.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follow uniform and hygiene standards.
  • Adhere to prep and line build recipes for consistency.
  • Check the quality of all ingredients used.
  • Maintain clean and organized cooking stations and equipment.
  • Follow safety and sanitation protocols at all times.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Utilize training resources such as tablets or computers.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Previous experience as a Line Cook is required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to communicate effectively in English, especially in understanding recipes and procedures.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense to follow simple instructions and deal with standard situations with minimal supervision.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Completion of orientation and agreement to policies is necessary. You must complete the Heart of House training program before working unsupervised and fulfill any other required local and state training, such as food or alcohol service certifications.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This role requires standing, walking, using hands and fingers, and occasionally lifting up to 15 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

You will encounter fumes or airborne particles from the kitchen and may be exposed to wet or humid conditions. Cooks may also work with cleaning chemicals and may experience exposure to cigarette smoke in establishments with smoking areas.
