The Fountain Group is a national staffing firm and we are currently seeking a Project Manager - Product Lifecycle & Change Management for a prominent client of ours. This position is in North Chicago, IL 60064. Details for the position are as follows:

Project Manager - Product Lifecycle & Change Management

Location: Lake County, IL (Hybrid)
Pay Rate: $50 - $54/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 40 hours/week
Work Model: Hybrid (1-2 days onsite / 3-4 days remote)
Travel: None required

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Manager to support cross-functional product lifecycle and change management initiatives within a regulated environment. This role manages small to large-scale business projects across the full project lifecycle, with a focus on change plans related to key product lifecycle activities such as product discontinuations.

The Project Manager will collaborate closely with Brand Managers, Operations, Supply Chain, Regulatory, and other cross-functional stakeholders to ensure change plans are executed on time, compliant with quality guidelines, and aligned with business objectives. This individual will also identify process improvement and automation opportunities to drive operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Change Management

  • Manage and drive end-to-end project activities across the full project lifecycle.
  • Serve as Change Owner for Quality guideline processes (QCM01-01-001-G001), supporting setup and completion of Change Plans.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to define project scope, timelines, deliverables, and risks.
  • Deliver project solutions aligned to business needs within defined budgets and timelines.
  • Track, report, and present project status updates to stakeholders and leadership.
Change Plan Execution
  • Partner with Brand Managers and Cross-Functional Teams (CFT) to gather critical information required for Change Plans.
  • Schedule and facilitate project planning and cross-functional meetings.
  • Lead discussions on scope, timing, product impact, and affiliate/site considerations.
  • Assign and track action items, ensuring timely completion by task owners and approvers.
  • Populate and maintain Change Plans within SOLTRAQs and applicable quality systems.
  • Support SAP code status management (A0, A3, A4, A5) in collaboration with Master Data teams.
  • Participate in Change Review Board (CRB) meetings and address follow-up actions.
Process Improvement & Automation
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, templates, and automation.
  • Maintain and prioritize improvement initiatives.
  • Execute initiatives that drive efficiency and measurable process improvements.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree OR equivalent experience (4-8 years).
  • 1-6+ years of project management experience.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to independently manage quality documentation and project deliverables.
  • Demonstrated decision-making, risk identification, and escalation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with Quality Systems (e.g., SOLTRAQs).
  • Experience working with SAP or related enterprise systems.
