We are seeking a Staff Accountant with experience in the Financial or Insurance industry to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands general accounting principles strongly. Communicating effectively in both English and Spanish is a significant advantage, as this role involves supporting operations across Latin America (LATAM).

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general ledger accounting tasks, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
• Assist with preparing financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and company policies.
• Analyze financial data to support decision-making and identify trends or discrepancies.
• Support LATAM operations by providing bilingual communication and accounting support as needed.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including vendor and customer interactions.
• Ensure compliance with local and international regulatory requirements for LATAM operations.
• Assist with audits by preparing required documentation and addressing auditor inquiries.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and enhance reporting capabilities.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably within the insurance industry or a similar regulated environment.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (JD Edwards, SAP or similar ).
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
