The ISSA Warehouse Specialist (Hazmat) performs a variety of warehousing duties included, but not limitedto, verifying materials or merchandise against receiving documents; receives, stores, stacks, or palletizes materials, and removes material from storage and prepares it for shipping. Performs the activities of Hazmat receipt, inspection classification and repacking of Hazard Material items within the ISSA.
Responsibilities
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Verifies material and merchandise against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.
Routes material and equipment to prescribed storage locations.
Properly stores, stacks or palletizes materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.
Ensure Hazard Material is safe, repackaged properly for storage and accounted for prior to being delivered to the storage location.
Rearranges as necessary and takes inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage.
Removes material from storage and prepares it for shipment.
Establishes and maintains stock records and other documents such as inventory, material control, accounting and supply reports.
Assists in taking inventories through physical count and records item count on inventory documents.
Operating and maintaining forklifts and MHE related equipment.
May operate hand or power tools in performance of warehousing duties.
Performs other duties as assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as protective mask, safety vest, steel or composite shoes/boots, safety gloves, hard hat and eyewear in certain areas.
Work will typically be in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
There may be times when an employee is exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions.
May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty including nights, weekends, and holidays under pressure and strenuous conditions. Duties may involve the conduct of work in the out of outdoors area with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions
Other Requirements:
Must be able to lift 25 lbs. 50 lbs. assisted.
Must be able to operate in a warehouse and outdoor type environment.
Must be able to walk on uneven ground and within work various sites and withstand prolonged periods of standing for 6-8 hours a day in performance of duties.
Work requires continuous walking, standing and sitting. Must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions and procedures. Work requires extensive interaction with customer. Must comply with published Company work rules.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS: One year of related experience maybe substituted for one year of education, if a degree is required.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Specific contractual requirements regarding education and experience prevail where applicable.
Forklift license
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)
Must be able to pass Ammo 62 (Technical Transportation of Hazardous Materials) upon admission.
Must be able to attend the 8- Hour Hazardous Waste Manager's course.
Valid Driver's License without restrictions.
EXPERIENCE:
Storage and warehouse functions and associated experience in computer support systems applicable to the requisition, receipt, storage, issue, and associated warehousing functions.
Four (4) years or more experience in warehouse operations.
Four (4) years or more experience in driving and operating forklifts.
Possess high ethical standards and demonstrate professionalism.
Ability to work independently or in a team-based, highly collaborative environment.

SKILLS :
Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
