Job Details

We are looking for Azure administrator within the data platform area. This person is responsible for the implementation and management of cloud-native and hybrid data solutions using services like Azure SQL, Databricks and Data Explorer. This role requires skills in SQL querying, database management, security, and performance tuning, and involves using tools to automate day-to-day operations for tasks such as creating, configuring, monitoring, and securing databases and other data services. The overall goal is to ensure the data platform is operational, efficient, and secure for the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Database management: Implementing and managing databases built on cloud and hybrid solutions, including those using SQL Server and Azure SQL services.
• Performance and security: Monitoring performance, managing security, and performing tuning on databases and data platforms.
• Automation: Automating day-to-day administrative tasks using scripting languages like PowerShell and other tools.
• Data analysis: Using services like Azure Data Explorer and Databricks to provide real-time analytics, identify trends, and gain insights from data.
• Solution implementation: Combining various Azure services to build and maintain enterprise-grade data, analytics, and AI solutions at scale.

• Must have a Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Information systems, or Engineering
• 5+ years of related professional experience administering data platforms
• 3+ years experience with Azure Databricks Lakehouse Platform
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python/PySpark, PowerShell, or Bash
• Experience in automating administrative tasks and workflows
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements
• Experience with ETL processes, data pipelines, and big data technologies
• Experience with backup and restore procedures for Databricks and Azure services
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to learn new technologies and continuously improve skills
