What Youll Do As a Preschool Teacher at KWLA, you will:

• Create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for toddlers and preschoolers
• Implement ready-made lesson plans with intention, creativity, and consistency
• Facilitate hands-on learning through play-based and inquiry-driven activities
• Support childrens growth across literacy, social-emotional development, gross and fine motor skills
• Maintain strong classroom management that supports smooth transitions and positive behavior
• Observe, document, and track developmental milestones accurately
• Communicate daily with parents/guardians about classroom activities and child progress
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring safety while encouraging teamwork
• Collaborate with co-teachers and leadership to strengthen instruction and classroom practices
• Maintain accurate records for attendance, progress, and compliance requirements

Qualifications and Experience Youre a great fit if you:

• Hold or are working toward a Child Development Credential (CDA) and/or Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education (or are willing to enroll in an early childhood program)
• Have experience teaching young children in a childcare or preschool setting
• Understand early childhood developmental expectations and milestones
• Use positive classroom management strategies that promote respectful behavior
• Communicate clearly and professionally with children, families, and team members
• Believe early childhood educators are professionals not babysitters
