POSITION AVAILABLE: Automatic Door Service Specialist

We are looking for an experienced technician to service automatic doors. AAADM certification is preferred but not required. You should be capable of performing repairs and replacements on ADA operators, manual and swing doors, door closers, pivot assemblies, panic hardware, hollow metal, storefront, and automatic folding, swing, and sliding doors.

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge and experience in the following areas:

  • Proficient in servicing various doors, equipment, and control devices.
  • At least 2 years of experience as an automatic door installer or service technician.
  • AAADM certification is a plus.
  • Skilled in carpentry, including partition framing with metal/wood studs, and installing doors and windows.
  • Experience with commercial doors, automatic doors, door hardware, storefront doors, door closers, emergency exit devices, and conducting preventative maintenance.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • A clean driving record is essential for operating company vehicles.
  • A positive and professional attitude.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and thrive under time constraints.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and adherence to processes.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with the following door manufacturers is a plus: Horton, Stanley, Record USA, Besam, Assa Abloy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Carry out repairs and replacements on ADA operators, doors, door closers, pivot assemblies, and panic hardware.
  • Service a diverse range of doors, equipment, and control devices.
  • Apply carpentry skills for partition framing and the installation of doors and windows.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on commercial and automatic doors.
  • Effectively manage multiple projects and adapt to time constraints.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor, whether in a team setting or independently.
  • Pay close attention to detail and follow established processes.
  • Deliver excellent customer service.
  • Flourish in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years in automatic door installation or service. Key skills include proficiency in servicing various doors, carpentry, mechanical aptitude, and a clean driving record. Familiarity with brands such as Horton, Stanley, and Assa Abloy will be advantageous.
