Your Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate and maintain Loram's specialized rail maintenance equipment.
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic maintenance, including inspections, troubleshooting, and repair work.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure optimal equipment performance and safety.
  • Effectively communicate with the team via radio, in-person, and written communications.
  • Follow Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), OSHA, and Loram safety protocols diligently.
  • Engage in training to enhance your skills and support your career growth.

What to Expect:

  • Ability to travel 100% of the time, including internationally, using various transportation methods.
  • Work in rotational field assignments (6-8 weeks), often with long days of 12+ hours.
  • Engage in physically demanding work outdoors, regardless of weather conditions.
  • Meet the physical requirements of extensive walking, climbing, lifting (75+ lbs.), and working in confined spaces or at heights.
  • Face unique challenges and opportunities to build practical, in-demand skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Comfortable working outdoors in challenging environments.
  • Ability to walk 5-9 miles daily on uneven terrain.
  • Climb ladders and step up 36 inches multiple times a day.
  • Lift and handle tools and equipment weighing over 75 lbs.
  • Must meet vision and hearing requirements for day and night operations.
