Transform Lives as a Nutrition Specialist

  • Communicate and counsel patients per physician instructions and dietary guidelines.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams involved in patient care.
  • Assess referral orders to ensure the adequacy of nutrition intake methods.
  • Document significant information in the patient's medical record following established protocols.
  • Implement nutritional care plans, adapt meal options, and support patients with specific dietary requirements.
  • Conduct calorie counts and provide appropriate nutritional recommendations.
  • Review, update, and approve menus for nutritional completeness.

Qualifications

  • Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association.
  • State licensure is essential.
  • Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is preferred.
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Food & Nutrition from an accredited institution.
  • Preferred: One year of experience in Clinical Dietetics.
