Position: Information Systems Architect - Advanced
Location: 100% Remote (must reside in the U.S.; occasional travel as required)
Duration: 12 Months (possibility of extension)
Role Overview
Seeking an Information Systems Architect (Advanced) to support Health-IT initiatives. This role requires deep expertise in Electronic Health Records (EHR), healthcare data standards, enterprise applications, and multi-tiered system architectures. The architect will provide technical leadership, guide emerging technology adoption, and collaborate with technical teams, management, vendors, and clients to deliver scalable and secure healthcare IT solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and oversee Health-IT system architecture, including EHR, HIE, and EMAR platforms.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies.
- Direct and review the work of technical staff; ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Manage relationships with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
- Apply knowledge of enterprise applications, data management, networks, security, and hardware in healthcare settings.
- 10+ years of experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- 5+ years working with Nextgen EHR, PM, and EDR.
- Nextgen Certification required.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10.
- 5+ years of experience with healthcare-specific data interface standards and health information exchange (HIE) technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Experience with SQL.
- Experience with Crystal Reports, eMAR, Mirth, PACs, CIPS/Fusion, or Merge.
- Familiarity with HL7 standards
