Security Engineer (Hybrid)

Location: Arlington, VA (Hybrid)
Clearance: Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain DHS suitability clearance, as required by federal contract.

Summary:
The Security Engineer will provide expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls across DHS CISA's IT and cloud environments. This role supports vulnerability management, Zero Trust initiatives, and secure cloud adoption.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct vulnerability assessments and support remediation efforts.
• Implement and maintain secure configurations in AWS GovCloud and Azure Gov environments.
• Support Zero Trust architecture adoption and integration.
• Develop and maintain security documentation and technical standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, developers, and analysts to ensure secure system design and operations.

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in security engineering or cybersecurity operations.
• Familiarity with DHS, NIST, and federal cybersecurity standards.
• Industry certifications such as CEH, CISSP, or Security+ preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
