Dr. Pratt-Chapman's lab is seeking an individual contributor level 1 to work under the
supervision of the Program Manager of Education and Training and with a team to track
evolving evidence in cancer prevention and control to develop and evaluate tailored training
opportunities for public health and health care professionals.
Position Specific Summary
Job Description Summary
This position will support the GW Comprehensive Cancer Control (CCC) Technical Assistance
Program. This position reports to the Program Manager, Education and Training, who reports to
the Associate Director of CCC Technical Assistance, who reports to Dr. Pratt-Chapman.
Projects include assisting the program manager with education and training production
designed for state departments of health, tribes and territories.
This position performs research and provides enhanced support to research centers/institutes at
the university, to include data collection, annotation, report generation, and outreach. This
position typically reviews, summarizes, and analyzes academic research data, creates
presentation materials, and may draft reports. This position will provide support to the Program
Manager, Education and Training to transition existing static resources to interactive, evergreen,
user-friendly resources and will plan, implement, and optimize evaluation of redesigned tools to
maximize reach, increase usability, evaluate and measure uptake by target audience(s). The
duties and goals of this role are linked to the success of the cooperative agreement.

Position Duties:
• Implements redesign training resources to be more usable and dynamic through the use
of several content platforms, including EthosCE, an online Learning Management
System.
• Provides updates to Cancer Awareness Toolkits through reviewing recent evidence and
reports and updates current toolkits using the Wordpress application.
• Designs and produces social media content to incorporate into updated toolkits using
evidence-based communication strategies.
• Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not
preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Standard Position Description
The student will perform basic administrative and research tasks under the guidance of a faculty member or research coordinator. Tasks may include: assisting with experiments, coding, data entry, and data cleaning, preparing research/documents for articles, reports, and/or presentations. Students may also help provide information for literature reviews, draft summaries, and create graphs and figures. Special projects or other duties may be assigned related to specific departmental/faculty needs.

Required Qualifications
This is an entry level position, little to no experience required, all training will be provided (Students working in an instructional capacity should be very familiar with the subject area in which they are working).
Preferred Qualifications
Qualified candidates will hold a BA/BS in a related discipline. Degree must be conferred
by the start date of the position.
