CDM Smith is excited to invite a dynamic leader to join our Digital Engineering Solutions team as the Senior Geospatial Technology Manager. In this role, you will steer the Geospatial Technology group, driving innovation and strategic architecture for our engineering and construction (AEC) initiatives. You will play a pivotal role in advancing GIS and mapping technologies, reality capture, remote sensing, IoT/sensor applications, and developing tailored solutions for AEC professionals.

Your mission will be to establish and champion best practices within the firm while exploring emerging technologies, including those related to digital twins. We are looking for an influential leader with extensive experience in AEC geospatial technology who thrives on problem-solving and implementing effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, supervise, and evaluate the Geospatial Technology team, aligning their efforts with the goals of the Digital Engineering Solutions team.
  • Create a motivating environment that fosters communication, collaboration, and flexibility among team members.
  • Build strong relationships across the organization while effectively managing team activities and achieving organizational goals.
  • Identify business use cases and oversee geospatial technology efforts targeting AEC needs.
  • Manage vendor relationships, especially with key partners like Esri, and establish new connections with other relevant vendors.
  • Develop and enforce common standards and best practices in geospatial technology across CDM Smith's AEC practices.
  • Collaborate with business line stakeholders to understand their strategic needs and help translate these into effective digital solutions.
  • Provide mentorship, conduct performance evaluations, and support professional development for team members.
  • Assist with marketing and communications efforts related to technology initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 12 years of relevant experience, including at least 4 years in a leadership role.
  • Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Pay Range: $148,637 - $260,166

Work location options include fully remote or hybrid arrangements for the right candidate.
