Job Description
Materials Manager
Minimum 3 years of Materials Management Experience
Venteon is currently seeking an experienced Materials Manager to fill an opening with a Tier 1 Manufacturing Company located in West Point, GA. Must have experience with automotive materials and leadership. Experience managing a JIT facility is required.
Requirements of the Materials Manager
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or a related field
- 5+ years in a Materials supervisory role
- Strong background in JIT operations
- Strong SAP experience
- Experience in highly automated environments

- The Materials Manager is responsible for managing incoming and outbound material, inventory levels, demand planning and personnel management within the facility
- Assures adequate staffing and training to execute material flow needs.
- Complete the departmental training and development plan annually.
- Complete the annual performance review of each direct report and review any indirect reports for each team member in the Materials Department.
- Continuous improvement of material flow thorughout the plant
- Work with vendors and internal teams to monitor and optimize inventory
