Title: Mediation Case Coordinator
Location : DC, NYC, Boca Raton, Boston, Denver, Chicago, Rockville, Jersey City
Target Start Date : ASAP
Type: contract (4 month duration)
Pay Rate: DOE
This position requires skilled administrative work and is active in supporting and executing job functions in all phases of the mediation process. This entails assisting and supporting the solicitation efforts for parties to mediate, mediator selection, mediation scheduling/securing location, mediation administration, and mediation case disposition.
Essential Job Functions:
• Monitors and assists with all virtual mediation sessions and breakout rooms and provides tutorial sessions to mediators and parties, as needed.
• Maintains mediation files from case creation to closure in accordance with established procedures. Reviews appropriate reports to ensure docket is current and running efficiently and update letters and correspondence as needed. Responds to mediation inquiries and answers general and more complex questions with limited assistance.
• Generates and consolidates mediator lists, appoints mediators; secures locations and participant availability for scheduling purposes, schedule the in-person or virtual mediation and generates corresponding letters; and assists with administering the straight-in mediation case docket, including analyzing requests and relevant documentation and determines next steps.
• Prepares first level financial review with appropriate analysis of cases, including proper assessment of party fees, mediator payment and associated documentation.
• Provides administrative support for special projects and initiatives, including marketing campaigns, responding to parties' interest in mediation and solicitating arbitration cases; and trains and offers guidance to staff as needed on issues of moderate complexity.

Education/Experience Requirements:
• High School and four (4) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Expertise using a desktop computer with the full suite of electronic office applications and other office equipment.
• Excellent organizational ability, interpersonal skills, and written and verbal communications skills.
• Preferably have experience and is skilled in providing quality customer service.
Work Conditions
Normal office conditions. Work is normally performed during a 40 hour work-week in an office environment. Minimal travel may be required. Some overtime may be required. Must be comfortable in both virtual and traditional work environments.
