divh2Email Production Specialist/h2pThe News Revenue Hub seeks a self-starting Email Production Specialist with strong time management skills to join our team of remote digital news experts. The Hubs consulting team advises newsrooms of all shapes and sizes on strategies to expand their audiences, develop products, and build sustainable membership programs. The Specialist will play a key role in turning strategies and experimental ideas into reality, and add capacity to our organizations during critical moments of need./ppWorking with the Senior Director of Consulting and members of the Consulting team and Success team, the Specialist will provide tactical support to Hub client newsrooms and organizations. You will help clients execute fundraising campaigns, build automations, and learn from one another. This is a new role for the teamwe are hiring on a 6 month contract to start but there is potential for this to turn into a full time role at the conclusion of the contract./ppWe will accept applications until Friday, April 18, 2025 and hope to have someone start this role by the end of May 2025. Regular duties include:/pulliProduction work tied to Hub services, primarily building standalone emails and automations in Mailchimp and potentially other ESPs./liliReviewing email builds made by others to ensure things like segmentation are correct and will lead to intended and positive outcomes for our clients./liliMaintaining or creating documentation tied to your areas of work, both internally for your colleagues and externally for our clients to help them grow their own expertise./liliManaging multiple projects or client needs at once, and being able to prioritize accordingly based on urgency and scope./liliWorking with Consulting team members and colleagues across the company to respond to customer service requests related to email in accordance with client contracts./liliEarning the trust of Hub clients and becoming a valued member of their team by delivering support in a timely and accurate manner, communicating clearly and effectively, and understanding their needs./liliSharing challenges and learnings with colleagues and helping adapt services accordingly./liliOccasionally, other types of production work tied to our clients needs and our services such as report creation./li/ulpIdeal qualifications:/pulliDemonstrated experience working in email marketing, newsletter or email production work, or other related area(s) that would transfer to this role./liliExperience working with multiple email service providers (ESPs) is preferred, particularly Mailchimp, Active Campaign, and Hubspot./liliExperience with running and analyzing A/B tests for emails./liliKnowledge of related elements of email marketing to aid with troubleshooting and client support, including deliverability, reputation, and email analytics./liliExcellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Ability to adapt to new situations, solve problems on the fly, and communicate with those around you./liliThe ability to self-motivate, self-manage, and work remotely./liliExperience working in a newsroom environment or a background in or passion for journalism is a plus./liliBasic knowledge of HTML/CSS a plus./liliCopyediting skills a plus./li/ulpYour day to day work will likely include:/pulliProducing email-related work integral to Hub service areas, such as building or updating email automations and building standalone fundraising emails for clients./liliManaging customer support requests and resolving them on deadline in accordance with our contracts and service level agreements./liliCreating documentation to help colleagues and new employees understand what we do and how we do it./liliInterfacing with journalists, editors, and C-Suite executives representing our clients./liliInterfacing with Hub colleagues to move projects forward and help us collaboratively serve our clients./liliEventually, training others on work under your purview (ie, teaching a client how to build an automation)./li/ulpAbout You/ppYoure passionate about the Hubs mission and our work serving newsrooms and journalism support organizations to help them flourish.
