Position Summary:

This role provides administrative support for Human Resources so that HR functions operate efficiently, employees receive timely support, and AAA Washington remains compliant with all relevant policies andregulations.

What You'll Do:

Core Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and organized employee records in compliance with record retention and confidentiality requirements utilizing various records database systems.
  • Manage wage and hour postings in compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
  • Coordinate the scheduling and communications for new hire onboarding and orientation in a manner that is inclusive and welcoming to our culture.
  • Process documents that are a part of the employee lifecycle in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Respond to routine employee inquiries about HR policies, benefits, and systems; escalating complex issues as necessary.
  • Coordinate employee engagement activities and recognition programs.
  • Provide administrative support for company benefits and compensation practices, including benefit enrollments, COBRA notifications, eligibility audits, claims assistance, and billing and invoice reconciliation.
  • Manage HR supply inventory and office supply ordering so that resources are available and procured in a cost-effective manner.
  • Support accurate employee communications regarding HR-related topics, including maintaining up-to-date documents on the HR intranet site.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4+ years' experience in administrative support in human resources
  • 2+ years' experience working with databases and/or HRIS systems
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree (AA) in business, human resources, or related field preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of electronic database systems for recordkeeping and MS Office tools
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and company regulatory standards related to human resources
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in managing multiple tasks and strong organizational skills
  • Keen focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to address routine inquiries independently and escalate complex issues appropriately.
Compensation, Work Location, and Benefits:

Location: Bellevue, Washington (hybrid, 3 office days per week)
Pay Range: $28.83-$34.75 per hour
Employment Type: Full-time

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

The physical environment is typical of a standard office space. It requires the employee to work inside for the duration of work. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, sitting for more than 50% of the time. This position will require occasionally moving about inside the office to access equipment, cabinets, etc. May work around office equipment which could be noisy, such as copiers and fax machines.
