The Schedule Analyst plays a key role in supporting the successful planning and execution of capital improvement projects by developing and maintaining detailed project schedules. This junior-level position is responsible for independently managing schedules, performing basic schedule analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including management, engineering design, and construction, to ensure schedule integrity and performance. The ideal candidate will possess a working knowledge of CPM/GPM scheduling theory, be proficient in Primavera P6, and demonstrate the ability to communicate schedule insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Organizational Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain CPM logic based, quantity-loaded project schedules used to manage workflow across the project life cycle in Primavera P6, using company standard project templates and input from the Project Management Team.
- Interpret contract documents and apply scheduling obligations and specifications to deliverables.
- Attend and co-lead recurring internal and client project meetings to collect project status information, provide schedule updates, and support schedule coordination and planning changes.
- Update project schedules on a weekly to bi-weekly basis, ensuring accuracy and integrity in schedule logic, activity sequencing, durations, and constraints.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external organizations to obtain and communicate project schedule information.
- Support the development and maintenance of work breakdown structures (WBS) and activity coding frameworks aligned with project standards. Identify and track critical path, near-critical path, and schedule deviations.
- Develop and maintain schedule status reports, metrics, dashboards, and executive summaries used to evaluate and measure schedule, project and program performance, for both internal and client audiences.
- Monitor progress against approved baselines and key project milestones to identify variances and support schedule revisions as needed.
- Assist in conducting what-if scenarios and time impact analysis (TIA) to support schedule risk evaluation and decision-making.
- Analyze float paths, observe scheduling trends, and identify potential impacts to project delivery. Participate in process improvement initiatives and contribute to the development and maintenance of detailed scheduling and project controls process guides.
- Apply feedback from senior schedulers to improve schedule logic, modeling accuracy, and reporting clarity.
- Learn and apply earned value management (EVM) principles in schedule assessments.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related quantitative or technical field.
- 5+ years of scheduling or project controls experience.
- Proficient in Oracle Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of CPM logic theory, quantity-loading and schedule project development fundamentals.
- Familiarity with project lifecycle phases and construction methodologies.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a larger team effort.
- Experience with schedule analysis, reporting, and stakeholder collaboration.
$107,529 - $126,347 a year
The salary range for this position is $107,529 to $126,347.
A hired employee will be placed within this salary range based on a variety of legitimate business reasons, including but not limited to the individual's scope of relevant experience and geographic location.
Location and Commitments • Overtime work may be required occasionally to ensure certain deliverables are completed on time.
• Weekend work is rare but occasionally may be necessary.
