The Work

The Business Analyst III is responsible for overseeing, managing, and implementing the development of documentation for the client's business needs. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure the successful translation of current system functionality into actionable system requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs.
  • Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies.
  • Reengineering and identifying new applications of technology to business problems to make business more effective.
  • Familiar with industry standard business process mapping, and reengineering. Prepares solution options, risk identification, and financial analyses such as cost/benefit, ROI, buy/build, etc.
  • Write detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Here's What You Need
  • 8 years of experience skilled in eliciting business and technical requirements.
  • 8 years of experience in communicating complex design and technical issues, as well as writing business cases and planning documents.
  • 8 years of experience in effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • 8 years of experience in gathering input, formulating a plan, and carrying it to fruition.
  • 8 years of experience in providing exceptional follow-through and customer service.
  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.
Minimum Skills:
  • Must possess problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
  • Analyzing and interpreting raw data.
  • Requirements gathering and documentation.
  • Business process improvement and system design.
  • Ability to respond effectively to customers with a sense of urgency.
  • Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe toolsets, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to handle and manage multiple tasks at any one time.
  • Ability to forge new relationships, individual and teaming in nature.
  • Must be a Self-starter, that can work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1 year of experience with government regulations and processes.

Reports to: Program Manager

Working Conditions
  • Professional office environment, with the ability to work onsite in the main office.
  • Must reside in the Austin area.
  • Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties extended periods of time.
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.
  • Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time looking at computer screen.
  • May be asked to work a flexible schedule which may include holidays.
  • May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes.
  • May be asked to work hours outside of normal business hours.
