Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to become a vital part of a dynamic team focused on continuous improvement? As an Industrial Millwright, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our operations through effective troubleshooting and maintenance strategies. You will work safely with all machinery within our facility located in Opelika, Alabama.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Repairing and maintaining industrial equipment, including conveying systems, debarkers, canters, gang saws, and edgers.
  • Interpreting and understanding technical drawings and printed instructions.
  • Taking initiative while adhering to safety protocols, especially in high-pressure situations.
  • Demonstrating a basic understanding of machinery alignments, including pumps, sheaves, and sprockets.
  • Using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks to move machinery and equipment safely.
  • Adjusting nuts, bolts, and parts with hand tools and measuring instruments to meet specified clearances.
  • Utilizing tools like jacks, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb tools for machine alignment.
  • Assembling and installing equipment efficiently with hand and power tools.
  • Laying out mounting holes accurately and drilling with power drills.
  • Replacing defective machine parts and adjusting the alignment of moving components.
  • Leveling bedplates and establishing centerlines using appropriate tools.
  • Dismantling and reassembling machines with various hand tools.

Qualifications for Success:

  • Safety-oriented mindset with compliance to established safety standards.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Own basic tools necessary for the position.
  • A minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience as a millwright in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Experience with cutting torches (Oxygen/Acetylene) and welding (GMAW and SMAW).
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts as needed.
  • Availability for overtime and on-call support for 24/7 operations.
  • Successful completion of an assessment test, pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check.
