Job Summary

FAR Inspections is looking for highly motivated individuals to perform residential occupancy verifications on behalf of mortgage lenders. Independent contractors earn a predictable full?time or supplemental income and enjoy a flexible schedule. Experience with mortgage field inspections is not required, but the ability to manage time and meet deadlines is essential.

Responsibilities

• Verify property occupancy.
• Report on the general condition of the property using a mobile application.
• Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments.
• Complete a short form in an app.
• Most common type of inspection should only take 5-6 minutes.
• Complete the inspection within 4 days after it is assigned.
• Make a determination of occupancy based on industry standards.
• Spend extended periods of time driving while making numerous stops during the day in the assigned territory.

Qualifications

• Computer with internet connection.
• Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage is a plus as you pay your own gas).
• Smartphone (Android or iPhone).
• Printer.
• Pass a standard background check using a valid drivers license.

Pay and Hours

This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate that varies by county and volume. Although you are paid per inspection, you will earn the equivalent of $30$40 per hour. Depending on the county and whether it is urban or rural, you will complete anywhere from 20500 inspections per month working 230 hours per week. Lower volume counties have higher rates and higher volume counties have lower rates. There is no set amount of inspections per month, but the work is consistent month-to-month. Earn more as you become established, have greater availability to inspect or are willing to cover a larger territory.

No additional mileage reimbursement above the flat fee per inspection.
