Roles & Responsibilities
Create, review, and maintain detailed manufacturing documentation (process routings, work instructions, assembly instructions, control plans, etc.) for new part numbers and production processes.
Support supplier qualification efforts by reviewing and validating supplier manufacturing documentation, process flows, and capability data.
Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and customer requirements during new supplier onboarding.
Conduct process capability studies, PFMEAs, and risk assessments to validate supplier readiness for new part production.
Education & Experience
Serve as the subject matter expert for manufacturing documentation standards, ensuring consistency and clarity across internal and supplier documentation.
Participate in new product introduction (NPI) activities, ensuring manufacturing documentation is prepared and approved prior to production release.
Provide technical support during first article inspections (FAI), PPAPs, and supplier audits.
Continuously improve documentation processes and tools to enhance efficiency, traceability, and quality.
Act as a liaison between design, quality, and supply chain teams to address manufacturability and documentation gaps.
