Job Description:
  • The Patient Services Representative II provides high-quality patient support by collecting and preparing blood specimens for testing while ensuring accuracy, safety, and excellent customer experience.
  • This role involves direct interaction with patients, maintaining a professional environment, and following established procedures.
  • The representative may work in a doctor s office, patient service center, or other assigned location.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • Ability to perform daily activities accurately and on time.
  • Ability to maintain a safe and professional environment.
  • Skilled in forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing.
  • Ability to verify patient demographic information and post-venipuncture verification.
  • Ability to maintain required records and documentation.
  • Strong organizational commitment and professionalism.
  • Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
  • Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and good judgment.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver s license, if applicable.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours across multiple locations.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in high-volume settings.
  • Strong customer focus and effective communication skills.
Experience:
  • 1 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • 2 years of experience in a patient service center environment preferred.
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
  • Keyboard and data entry experience.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily activities accurately and on schedule.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment.
  • Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection following procedure.
  • Confirm patient demographic information and post-venipuncture verification.
  • Maintain documentation and required records.
  • Promote a positive, professional image to patients, clients, and the public.
Should Have:
  • Ability to communicate clearly with peers, supervisors, and patients.
  • Ability to adapt to change and maintain transparency.
Skills:
  • Strong phlebotomy skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong organizational skills.
Qualification And Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
