About PACELINE
Founded in 2018 with support from the Medical College of Georgia Foundation, PACELINE is a movement of communities & organizations setting the pace to end cancer.
Since 2019, PACELINE has fast become a recognized nonprofit in the CSRA raising over $2 million for innovative cancer research at the Georgia Cancer Center. PACELINE's signature fundraising initiative is PaceDay - an annual event where participants “set the pace to end cancer” through a Walk / Run / Ride for Cancer Research.
Position Summary
The Engagement Director is responsible for expanding PACELINE's current audience of participants and their donors, increasing peer-to-peer fundraising in the process.
Reporting to the VP this role requires discipline, and relationship fluency, to drive growth by connecting participants, donors, and corporate partners to PACELINE's mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with VP, President & Engagement Manager to implement strategies for PACELINE growth, emphasizing mission visibility and share of community.
- Translate PACELINE impact story into compelling narratives that resonate with participants & partners.
- Deliver against defined KPIs with a focus on first 90‑day metrics.
Program and Project Management
- Ensure continuity and quality across communications, digital platforms, and participant communications.
- Work with VP to expand Youth Participation Program into a year‑round high‑school initiative that connects PACELINE mission & impact to a high advocacy audience.
- Work with VP to expand Ambassador Program.
Fundraising and Engagement
- Build and steward relationships with walkers/runners, riders, donors, volunteers & corporate partners.
- With the Engagement Manager, help create custom digital & print collateral that supports and autonomizes participants & participant teams fundraising growth.
Communications and Branding
- Help develop and optimize digital & print collateral that supports and autonomizes participants/teams with the end goal of expanding their engagement and fundraising.
- Represent PACELINE internally and externally as a principal ambassador.
Education and Experience
- Minimum 3 years in fundraising, marketing, or event management, ideally within a healthcare or nonprofit setting.
- Demonstrated success in strategic planning, program growth, and partnership development.
