About The Opportunity

This remote role is within Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC) and focuses on medical and scientific engagement with ADC stakeholders. The MSL serves as the medical/scientific voice of expertise, supporting the U.S. commercial team through strategic interactions with key thought leaders, external experts, and healthcare professionals.

What You'll Do

  • Provide scientific and medical leadership to ensure professional and credible relationships with strategic thought leaders and external experts.
  • Facilitate research and educational initiatives to maintain a strong ADC presence in key academic centers.
  • Work collaboratively with in‑field team members while retaining functional independence.
  • Serve as a point of contact for thought leaders within an assigned geographic area, addressing their scientific knowledge needs related to ADC therapeutic areas.
  • Deliver credible presentations on scientific matters to healthcare providers, individually or in groups.
  • Select and engage qualified thought leaders for advisory boards, congresses, symposia, and other collaborative efforts.
  • Attend scientific meetings and conferences, collaborating with internal stakeholders to summarize key data for ADC strategic priorities.
  • Provide scientific and technical support for publications of interest to key thought leaders and external experts.
  • Ensure all activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and company policies.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a health sciences field.
  • Preferred advanced degree (Pharmacy, Nutrition, Nursing, M.S., or Ph.D.) in a relevant scientific discipline, or an undergraduate degree with demonstrated experience.
  • Minimum 3–5 years in a health sciences field.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

Compensation

Base pay range: $111,300.00 – $222,700.00 (may vary by location).
