West Central Georgia Regional Hospital is seeking a Facility Security Officer for the Columbus, Ga. campus.

Under general supervision, the Facility Security Officer will:

  • Guard, patrol, or monitor premises, facilities, and other areas to prevent theft, violence, and infractions of rules.
  • Secure and protect the facility in case of fires, natural disasters, or other hazardous events.
  • Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
  • Escort or drive a motor vehicle to transport individuals to specified locations and to provide personal protection.
  • Inspect assigned areas for fire or environmental hazards.
  • Monitor and authorize the entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against and maintain security of premises.
  • Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
  • Respond to fires, natural disasters, or other hazardous events.
  • Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises, using force if necessary.
  • Write reports of daily activities and irregularities.
