Overview

Managing Director, AI Systems & Platforms (Sub-Capability Lead)

This is a senior leadership role reporting to the Country Lead for Data & AI. Location eligible to be in any Slalom office location. This role requires travel up to 30-40% and a hybrid work environment with client-facing and office time as needed.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and hire a team of AI leaders capable of delivering Slalom's most complex AI engagements. Drive the continued development and adoption of Slalom's Delivery Excellence program to ensure high-quality AI delivery across engagements and disciplines.
  • Partner closely with Market leadership and other Capabilities on AI project execution.
  • Capability Vision & Strategy (10%): Drive and connect AI strategy across the Americas markets and other Capabilities. Set vision for Slalom's Delivery Excellence program and provide guidance to drive adoption.
  • Go to Market Approach (20%): Create demand by representing Slalom as an AI subject matter expert, speaking at external conferences and events, and generating net-new opportunities. Ignite awareness and demand for AI Capability and client outcomes in North America; participate in campaigns, RFIs, RFPs, workshops, and POCs.
  • Business Development & Sales (15%): Participate in multi-capability solutioning and client outcome-based selling with the GTM team. Act as a Solution Lead or SME in pursuit processes and identify SME resources as needed.
  • Resource Pipeline (15%): Lead AI-specific hiring rhythms, staffing, and workforce planning; contribute to planning for a dedicated AI capability pool.
  • People Development (20%): Support the development of AI team members to lead complex engagements. Mentor AI practitioners to ensure high-quality AI delivery across Slalom. Participate in performance management by providing feedback on AI capability team members.
  • Delivery Management (10%): Collaborate with market and capability leaders to implement governance practices, set up complex AI programs for success, and improve outcomes through mitigation strategies. Contribute to AI delivery via billable roles as AI Solution Lead and/or SME roles within the AI sub-capability, with utilization targets defined by level.
  • Financial Management (10%): Work with Data & AI leadership to create sub-capability growth and cost projections. Manage forecast against revenue and escalate staffing needs as required.

Additional

Ability to travel up to 30-40% of the time. The role requires time in a Slalom office, at client sites, and the ability to work remotely; a hybrid work environment is expected with client-facing needs prioritized as appropriate.

Compensation And Benefits

Slalom offers a range of benefits including time off, holidays, parental leave, 401(k) with match, health/dental/vision coverage, adoption and fertility assistance, and disability coverage. We also offer a $350 annual well-being reimbursement and discounted insurance options. The base salary range for this position in the US is $240,000 to $384,000 USD, with potential for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation depends on skills, experience, location, and other factors. The salary range may be modified at any time.
