Columbus Forge, a recognized leader in producing disks and airfoils for the aerospace propulsion market, is looking for dedicated individuals to support our organization. We have an opportunity for a Manufacturing Quality Engineering Tech to be based in Columbus, GA.

This is an AWW opportunity: Friday-Sunday 7am-7pm

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering support for production operations including process support, troubleshooting, machine setup, and root cause analysis
  • Collect and analyze data to identify adverse trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Knowledge of machining techniques and processes for manufacture
  • Interpret requirements to develop and maintain processes to manufacture parts and tooling to engineering drawing requirements
  • Ability to assist in electronic work instruction creation for manufacturing use
  • Interpret manufacturing inspection data to ensure product meets engineering requirements
  • Demonstrate commitment to the EH&S and continuous improvement programs by complying with all policies and procedures, completing all required training, and supporting all applicable committee activities

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • 2-year Degree in a technical field
  • 3+ years technical experience
  • 6+ months manufacturing experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Understanding of internal and external customer requirements with a high attention to detail in resolving findings.
  • Ability to understand and interpret engineering technical data to provide guidance to cross functional teams.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiar with CAD/CAM software
