Attends court to assist victims with the process of the court system. Provides referrals to different organizations. Assesses criminal cases involving victims of misdemeanor crimes. Prepares criminal accusations. Takes photographs; travels to the crime scene if possible; transports victims to shelters as needed; interviews victims and witnesses. Informs victims of the availability of compensation. Educates the community about domestic violence. Trains police officers. Performs other related duties as assigned.
