Victim Advocate Investigator - G119 State Court Solicitor

Description:

Attends court to assist victims with the process of the court system. Provides referrals to different organizations. Assesses criminal cases involving victims of misdemeanor crimes. Prepares criminal accusations. Takes photographs; travels to the crime scene if possible; transports victims to shelters as needed; interviews victims and witnesses. Informs victims of the availability of compensation. Educates the community about domestic violence. Trains police officers. Performs other related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of the legal system. Skill in operating a vehicle. Skill in the operation of standard office equipment. Skill in the operation of computers and various software programs. Skill in typing and filing. Skill in oral and written communication. Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
