The Laboratory Director is responsible for the overall functioning of the lab and blood bank. He/She is responsible for the development and implementation of a quality laboratory program. Compliance with all standards of operation by regulatory agencies, management of the space in the facility and related equipment, the budget, community relations, education and the supervision of laboratory staff and their compliance to expected competencies. The Lab Director will be responsible for the fulfillment of the mission, goals and objectives of the lab and blood bank.
Education: 1- BS in Medical Technology , Biology, Chemistry or related Science.
2- Mathmatical, verbal skills and work ethic at BS level.
Experience: Three to five years of laboratory experience, some of which must be of a supervisory nature.
Alternatively, an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
Licenses/Certificates: ASCP, AMT, HHS or NCA license/certification preferred.
